About Me – old

Well Hello There!

Welcome to Gardenia Avenue and thank you for coming to the site.  I started this page after a wonderful, exhausting, exhilarating and fulfilling year with our first born – a sweet girl named Ava.  Finally, after 14 months of diapers, sleep training, trips to the vet, moving into a new home, family gatherings, Friday night dates and working full-time – I decided I needed something else to do.. who needs free time and sleep? (me, actually, I love sleep)

Just recently we added a sweet baby boy to the mix, Dominick Paul, named after my father-in-law! We are tired but so in-love! Our family is complete!

This is a space I like to share my everyday experiences, the good and the bad!

About Me

Let me start by saying I am truly blessed.  I have a wonderful family:  my husband, Drew, our daughter, Ava and of course, Madison our French bulldog.  I was born outside of Philadelphia in Wayne, PA.  After growing up on the Main Line I went to West Virginia University – three days after graduation I packed my bags and moved to Los Angeles (sight unseen and without a job).  It was an adventure. I quickly found work with a startup private jet company where I thrived off the energy and excitement.

I returned to the east coast in 2010 and have lived in the Philadelphia area ever since – ranging from Rittenhouse Square to South Philly, now back to where it all started on the Main Line.

I work for a healthcare company in Philadelphia. My work has inspired me to try to do at least one act of kindness or giving every day.

With that being said, I am just trying to raise two well adjusted kids with as little screen time as possible (sometimes the phone wins) and trying to look at the glass half full  EVERY DAY.

And if it doesn’t all go according to plan that day, we go to sleep and start fresh the next day!
