New Year, NEW ME! Not really, but one thing I am really trying to get better at is cleaning up around the house daily.
With a 19 month old, it can be challenging to have your house ready for guests at any moment, but I have started to regulate Ava’s toys to one corner of the family room, keep the shoes and jackets in the closet, clear the counter tops, you know what I mean!
One thing that has seriously changed my cleaning game is this amazing 3 in 1 vacuum – “The 3-1 Vac can be used as a lightweight stick vacuum on the carpet, area rugs and hard surface floors. Then you can quickly remove the Quick Release Handle and keep the foot attached for stair cleaning. And finally, by removing both the handle and the foot, you can use it as a hand vacuum on the countertops or upholstery” (taken from website).

Each night after Ava goes to bed, I whip this out and do one quick run through the first floor of our house – I can’t believe how many Cheerios, crumbs, unknown items along the baseboard I get each night!
Truth, some nights I skip it and everything is A-OK… but it is a great feeling having a tidy house before bed. I’ve also found it is SO helpful on the stairs! I hate using the big, heavy vacuum on the stairs so this is the perfect alternative! It is SO light and easy to maneuver! The only thing I could possibly say I’d change is the cord is 15 feet and I seem to get on a roll and can cover 15 feet pretty quickly, but the easiest thing to do is add an extension cord and BOOM – you’re rolling all over the house!
Even if you don’t have a messy toddler, you’d be surprised how much stuff you trek in everyday! I find in the winter months our boots bring in leaves, mud, little branches all the time so it’s great to clean those up and also, if you have a wood-burning fire place, this is a great tool to get up all the little wood pieces around the fireplace!
